Taiwan's Kuomintang will honour former General Ho Sai-lai, who died in Hong Kong last week, for his contribution to the island. It will present national and party flags to relatives of Ho, who died on July 26, for use at his funeral scheduled for tomorrow, the Central News Agency said.
Ho, 92, was the son of Robert Hotung, the Jardines comprador.
He attended military academies in Britain and France, and served in
the Nationalist army.
Ho headed the Nationalist military delegations in Japan and later to
the United Nations between 1950 and 1962.
Ho then retired and settled in Hong Kong, the report said.
He was later appointed a Taiwanese presidential adviser.
